    These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "user") and JumpMyCar ("JumpMyCar," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the website located at https://jumpmycar.com (the "Site"), including all content, features, and services offered on or through the Site.

    By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Site.

    We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Site following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

    2. Nature of Content — Informational Purpose Only

Vehicle designs, electrical architectures, and safety requirements vary significantly across makes, models, and model years — including but not limited to hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), vehicles with stop-start systems, and vehicles with batteries in non-standard locations.

    3. Assumption of Risk

    Jump starting a vehicle and working with automotive electrical systems involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    • Electrical shock or burns
    • Battery explosion due to hydrogen gas ignition
    • Damage to vehicle electrical systems, computers, or sensitive electronics
    • Personal injury or property damage
    • Voiding of manufacturer warranties

    By using any information, procedure, or recommendation found on this Site, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you do so entirely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for any and all consequences, including damage to your vehicle, damage to third-party property, personal injury, or death. JumpMyCar shall not be held responsible for any such outcomes.

    4. Disclaimer of Warranties

    THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, INFORMATION, AND SERVICES PROVIDED ON OR THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

    TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JUMPMYCAR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
    • WARRANTIES THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS
    • WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY CONTENT
    • WARRANTIES THAT ANY PROCEDURE DESCRIBED ON THE SITE WILL PRODUCE A SPECIFIC RESULT

    Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    5. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JUMPMYCAR, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR CONTENT CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

    • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
    • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
    • Personal injury or property damage of any nature arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content thereon
    • Damages arising from reliance on any information provided on the Site
    • Damages arising from any third-party product purchased through affiliate links on the Site

    This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, negligence, or otherwise) and even if JumpMyCar has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

    IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, JUMPMYCAR'S LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100.00).

    6. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JumpMyCar, its owners, operators, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

    • Your use of the Site or reliance on any content therein
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
    • Any claim by a third party related to your use of the Site
    • Any damage to a vehicle, property, or person resulting from your actions based on information found on the Site

    7. Affiliate Links and Product Recommendations

    7.1 Affiliate Disclosure

    JumpMyCar participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and potentially other affiliate programs. This means that when you click on certain product links on the Site and make a purchase, we may earn a referral commission.

    7.2 Editorial Independence

    Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content, testing methodology, or product rankings. All product recommendations are based on measured performance, specifications, and our independent evaluation.     8. AI-Generated Content

    Certain content on the Site, including but not limited to vehicle-specific battery location guides, may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) tools. While all AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by our editorial team before publication:

    • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
    • AI-generated vehicle data may not reflect the latest manufacturer specifications
    • AI-generated content is subject to the same disclaimers, limitations of liability, and assumption of risk provisions set forth in these Terms
    • You should always verify vehicle-specific information against your owner's manual or a qualified professional

    9. Intellectual Property

    9.1 Ownership

    All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, articles, guides, diagrams, illustrations, cable connection graphics, visual guides, logos, trademarks, trade dress, layout, design, and source code — is the intellectual property of JumpMyCar or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    9.2 Limited License

    We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. This license does not include the right to:

    • Reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from the Site
    • Use any content for commercial purposes without prior written permission

    13.1 Governing Law

    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State in which JumpMyCar primarily operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

    13.2 Informal Resolution

    Before filing any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at hello@jumpmycar.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

    13.3 Limitation on Claims

    To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues. Claims filed after this period are permanently barred.

    14. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

    15. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JumpMyCar regarding your use of the Site. These Terms supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral, regarding the subject matter hereof.

    16. Waiver

    No failure or delay by JumpMyCar in exercising any right, power, or privilege under these Terms shall operate as a waiver thereof. A single or partial exercise of any right shall not preclude further exercise of that or any other right.

    17. Force Majeure

    JumpMyCar shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of government, internet outages, cyberattacks, or other force majeure events.
